Dry Erase board with magnet back- 2012 Office Depot

A relatively simple styling exercise, challenge was with the internal mechanics. The board was to be mounted flush to a wall but without any visual hinge mechanism , the ability to open the inner paper sleeve proved difficult. I engineered a floating hinge to allow the door to open with out hitting the wall which would have pushed the board off the wall and potentially off mounting screws. I also had to engineer the body to have a magnet sheet inserted into it. I used solidworks to build. Developed fully operational prototype.
